I **think** I've done all the resoldering I need to on the piping - there were a couple of pretty noticeable leaks. With luck I'll never have to do that again! That still didn't get it all the way down, so I put the deadblow on the bench and with the other hand beat the hose/barb assy down against it - over and over and over.īeating the hose against the hammer seemed more effective than the other way. Then I pushed it on the little bit I could, and walloped the fitting over and over and over with my big deadblow hammer (I had a street L on the barb so the barb threads wouldn't be damaged and I had the nice flat surface of the L to beat on). I ended up using a bit of LPS-1, since the Parker manual I found said "soapy water or light oil".
